HEX® tubeless tire sealant is a non-toxic, non-polluting, ammonia-free latex sealant. Our goal was to provide an ammonia-free latex sealant that outperforms the competitors that at the same time has a reduced impact on the environment. HEX® was the first to successfully create a latex sealant without ammonia. Ammonia, which is a toxic chemical, is used to stabilize latex and is so common in the industry that we had to work directly with latex producers to obtain raw latex immediately after the trees are tapped and before ammonia was added. Our proprietary formulation not only protects the environment but also protects your tires and rims from corrosion.
HEX® sealant utilizes two mechanisms to seal a puncture. The first is a mechanical seal in which the hole is blocked by filling it with our unique hex shaped particles under pressure. The second mechanism is a chemical reaction in which the ammonia-free latex cures over time to permanently seal the hole.
We utilize a recyclable 800ml bottle in order to reduce our waste footprint. While smaller, single application, bottles are convenient, in our view they place an unnecessary burden on the environment.
We have included a 60ml syringe in the promotional pack, which can be reused and allows the user the option of adding sealant via the valve stem in addition to pouring the sealant directly into the unmounted tire.
Our proprietary HEX® formula is designated to provide rapid sealing in the event of a puncture. This is important when the rider suffers a puncture when slowly riding over terrain, such as a rock garden. In addition, HEX® sealant can be used in a variety of temperature ranges, -28˚C to +70˚C, so whether you are in the desert or snow, the sealant will continue to perform when you need it.
